Dean McGee Completes Successful 2007 Season; Looks Ahead to ‘08! Written By: H7 Racing Team Galesburg, Illinois (November 13th, 2007) -- Dean McGee and the H7 Racing recently wrapped up their version of the 2007 racing season. The Galesburg, Illinois based Open-Wheel Modified team had a very successful year, with some ups and downs along the way. One of the highlights of the 2007 season was qualifying for the always tough Harris Clash at the famed 1/2 mile in Knoxville, Iowa. This race draws the best IMCA Modified drivers throughout the country and 96 came in to do battle for the annual event. McGee came away with a strong 12th place finish that night, which was his first time there in a modified. In all, Dean entered thirty-four open-wheel modified events during his 2007 campaign, with most of those races being run under the IMCA banner. He also ran some USMTS, UMP, and Open sanctioned events as well, throughout the area. He reached victory lane only once at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa (in IMCA competition), while accumulating thirteen Top Five efforts, and twenty-eight Top Ten finishes.
