McGee Opens Up 2008 Strong

(Galesburg, IL - April 28th, 2008) – Dean McGee and the H7 Racing Team opened up the 2008 racing season in the Hawkeye state this past weekend with a strong 4 th place finish in their brand new GRT IMCA modified. McGee and the team had their first chance this weekend to “shake” down the new car at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa. This upcoming weekend McGee will be at the Season Opener at Lee County Speedway in Donnelson, since last week was lost to the rain, and then Saturday the team will head to 34 Raceway in Burlington. McGee will be competing at both of these tracks on a weekly basis racing under the IMCA banner. The team also released their “tentative” schedule on the website, which has them visiting many different track throughout the region this season. The schedule also features some UMP, USMTS and other open event throughout the year.

McGee and the H7 Racing team would also like to welcome some new sponsors aboard for the 2008 season. Tiffany’s on Main, Roberts Tire Center, Bob Harris and Race Tech Info, GRT Race Cars and Speed Blitz. McGee also has a great list of returning sponsors as well that have been with the Team for a number of years. Those sponsors include Rheinschmidts Carpet Center, Gustaf Engines, Glass Specialty Inc., Walters Web Design, Brad Penn Racing Oil, Chris Damitz Photography, Napa Auto Parts, and Midway Auto Parts and Salvage. The team will also hit the track with a new look thanks to a custom vinyl wrap from New Vision Graphics in Batesville, Arkansas.
